Lodge Kitchen - Cookware
If you are keen on having a consistent rustic theme for your lodge or cabin, then you may wish to carry that through to the kitchen too. That you can do quite easily when it comes to the furniture, ornaments and decoration, but what about the lodge cookware itself?

To keep with the olde worlde rustic style, the lodge cookware should be in a style, and of materials, that are not too modern. Bright stainless steel, for example, has no real association with traditional country living.
Cast iron, though, was been used for many centuries, and is therefore probably more in keeping with a rustic theme. Using cast iron for your lodge cookware does not mean it has to be antique, as it is still used in the manufacture of high quality pots, pans, frying pans, skillets and so on.
Fortunately, cast iron is not only long lasting, and with an appeal that will merge well with your lodge kitchen decor, it is often favoured by chefs as the best for cooking. So, whether you are a culinary expert, or a simple amateur cook, iron lodge cookware makes a good choice. You may not need all the iron skillets you see pictured above, unless you have a large country mansion with an army of chefs. But a basic collection of cast iron pots and pans should fit in well with the ambience of your lodge kitchen.

When it comes to storing your pots and pans, then there are some attractive iron pot racks in the stores and online. the one shown (left) is a natural black iron pot rack, with an ideal lodge design and rustic theme.
